Eric Prydz has been a name on everyone’s lips this summer, under his Pryda alias he released an album’s worth of material, his new live shows Holosphere and V O I D, were the talk of Tomorrowland and Creamfields and his Labor Day performance at Brooklyn Mirage was reportedly the biggest of the year.

Prydz continues to push boundaries both in the studio and in the live space and this winter will debut his acclaimed HOLO show in New York at an incredible cavernous location in the Bronx—the 60,000 sq foot New York Expo Center. Presented by DEG Presents, these will be the first and last U.S.performances of HOLO and will feature greater production levels than any previous Prydz U.S. show.

HOLO came to life last year as a series of three concerts in the U.K before returning to sell out the 15,000-capacity Steel Yard in London this summer in record-time. The unique combination of video, combined with Prydz signature and bespoke light and laser set up, have made HOLO one of the most admired live shows in electronic music.

HOLO is an outgrowth of Prydz’s original EPIC concert series, which have centered around a pioneering use of holograms. The Verge called these shows ‘the ambitious future of concert tech’ this summer, when the sixth installment of EPIC, HOLOSPHERE, debuted at Tomorrowland. HOLO NYC is a very different show than HOLOSPHERE, which centered Prydz inside a transparent LED physical sphere.

HOLO marks the first major large-scale production concert from Prydz in America, since he performed EPIC 4.0 in 2016. As with EPIC and other Prydz concert experiences, like V O I D, the HOLO shows are site-specific and temporal, no two are the same, and no further HOLO dates are planned at this time.

A HOLO NYC pre-sale sign-up will launch immediately today (September 6) for both shows. The pre-sale will take place on Sept 10 at 10:00 am EST, with pre-sale codes sent at 9:00 am Sept 10, and is designed to help fans purchase tickets directly for the show, and prevent scalpers moving tickets into the secondary market.

Hurricane Dorian may have passed the Bahamas, but behind it left a serious wake of devastation. Music cruise FriendShip, presented by AMFAMFAMF, and their partner Royal Caribbean have teamed with Pan American Development Foundation (PADF) to provide disaster relief to those in the Bahamas effected and are asking fans and friends in joining them in making a contribution.

The FriendShip issued the following statement yesterday (September 4th) via their social media platforms:

The Bahamas graciously hosts our festival and provides hospitality to FriendShip each year. Our thoughts are with them in Hurricane Dorian’s aftermath. Electric Zoo: Evolved—New York City’s longest-running and largest electronic music festival—came out of its 11th turn with its most successful show since 2013. Taking place this Labor Day weekend, Friday, August 30, Saturday, August 31 and Sunday, September 1 at Randall’s Island Park, over 107,000 fans turned out to embrace the sunshine and outstanding sets from over 50 international DJ talents. Out of the three-day event, Saturday and Sunday drew sold-out crowds.

There were many highlights for electronic music enthusiasts over the weekend including epic headline performances by Above & Beyond, Eric Prydz, Dog Blood (Skrillex :: Boys Noize), Diplo, Afrojack and Armin Van Buuren with spectacular sunset sets from the mainstage by Kaskade, ZEDD and Allison Wonderland.

Mainstage performer DESTRUCTO hosted the Ezoo debut of the ALL MY FRIENDS stage - each day highlighting tent-packed sets, including from Malaa, Anti Up and Camelphat, while Eric Prydz did a second turn to host the Pryda Arena with Yotto, Jooris Voorn and Green Velvet on Saturday’s bill. Brownies and Lemonade brought out in the best of West Coast bass with sets from Getter, 4B and Yultron on Friday.

Sunday night SLANDER + NGHTMRE’s Gud Vibrations crew slammed the Hilltop Arena with hard-hitters GTA, SAYMYNAME and Whipped Cream while next door’s Riverside Stage Seven Lions presented a selection of talents from his Ophelia label from newcomers Crystal Skies and Wooli to Kill the Noise and Said The Sky.

Beyond the stages from the hottest brands in dance music right now, there were also memorable sets from the likes of mainstays Excision, Flux Pavilion, Benny Benassi and Boombox Cartel to newcomers Sullivan King, i_o, Midnight Kids and MIME.

Festival-goers were also treated to a fantastic viewing deck with a meet & greet with Above & Beyond, and a fast lane for quick entry and transportation to the festival via ferry sponsored by T-Mobile. Fans got to cool off at the Kia Soul Station human car wash experience as SIRIUSXM conducted live interviews with various performers. The official apparel partner Sik Silk offered face painting. Other partners featured at Electric Zoo were Svedka, Redbull, Espolon Tequila, Heineken, Zenni, Darrel Lea, Sour Punch, Essentially Geared Wine, Electric Standard Co and Fest Express.

Beyond building a deluxe name for themselves through astonishing original productions, as well as numerous massive collaborations, SLANDER have become one of the top live electronic performances in North America at the current moment. Last Saturday, August 17th the duo of Derek Andersen and Scott Land along with NGHTMRE launched “The Alchemy Tour” with a headlining slot to an unprecedented crowd of over 22,000 fans in Long Beach, California. The event took place on the waterfront Marina Green as a first-time music event, “The Alchemy Tour” launch, which also features Seven Lions, and The Glitch Mob, smashed record ticket sales numbers as the largest attended single stage bass music event in the history of electronic music in America.

LA-based SLANDER recently turned their popular Gud Vibrations brand into an official record label with good friend NGHTMRE, ensuring their legions of fans that their famous GUD VIBES are only getting started. Based on their Mad Decent released single “Gud Vibrations,” best friends NGHTMRE and SLANDER decided to merge both brands into a single unified brand, supporting good music, good friendships, and good vibes. Their Good Vibes brand has seen exponential growth with a world-wide audience. Earlier this summer, Apple revealed the international TV spot for the “That’s iPhone” marketing campaign introducing its FaceID component featuring the song “Nice” by GRAMMY Award-winning producer Latroit (Dennis White). Latroit updated the song further for the summer featuring vocals by urban artists B4NG B4NG & LOOMIS titled “Nice (Twice As Nice).” Today (August 22), he has made available its corresponding video.

The video -- directed by Latroit as a hybrid of polished and BTS footage--was shot at the ragdoll pink palace, a life-size dollhouse in West Hollywood and the backdrop of the recent shoot for LIZZO in Playboy. Featuring B4NG B4NG and LOOMIS alongside Latroit, it’s a strong visual presentation for the soulful downtempo dance track with 90’s throwback rap performance. Also making an appearance in the video is Spike, a Los Angeles based fine artist, drag performer and winner Mr. Precinct leather 2018 and first running up Mr. Los Angeles Leather 2018 and actor/ model and pop culture personality Ashleigh Morghan.

B4NG B4NG (pronounced Bang Bang) is part of the House of Latroit stable -- an artist discovery collective founded by Dennis White (Latroit) with the idea being that Latroit utilizes the platform of his successes to help nurture the early stage careers of emerging artists including Australian vocalist Charlz, DJ/producers Ghastly, Sullivan King, i_o and rapper B4NG B4NG who is featured on “Nice”.

B4NG B4NG is also known as Germfree, an East LA-based underground battle rap champion who has appeared in six episodes of The Cypher Effect. She was discovered by Slash (GnR) and Boondock Saints director Troy Duffy, resulting in the B4NG B4NG/ Slash video and release “Punch Drunk Lover”, and appears with Xzbit in the legendary rappers 2019 directional debut Broken Ground.

Her friend, emerging R&B artist, model, and Valley Girl LOOMIS has performed with Salt n Pepa, Snoop Dogg, Lisa Lisa, Bone Thugs and Harmony on the Bobby Dee Presents tour.

The “That’s iPhone” marketing campaign introducing its Face ID component features a man napping peacefully on a lounger in his garden, woken up with a series of iMessages.
