British-born, Los Angeles-based electronic music producer and visual artist Bonobo (Simon Green) has garnered a GRAMMY® nomination for “Linked” in the “Best Dance Recording” category. This marks his third nomination following “Best Electronic/Dance Album” for Migration, his sixth studio album in 2017, and “Best Dance Recording” for “Bambro Koyo Ganda.”

Upon its release earlier this summer (July 1) as a single on independent record label Ninja Tuna, “Linked” received global acclaim with nearly 12M combined streams, great support from radio (BBC Radio 1, KCRW, SIRIUS XM, KEXP), digital streaming platforms (including adds to almost 100 Spotify editorial playlists, over 75 features across Apple Music globally, Amazon Music’s “Signals” & “Fresh Electronic”) and press with excellent coverage from 85+ media outlets including key publications such as Billboard, Complex, Clash, The Observer ‘Tracks of the week’ (print), Line of Best Fit, Stereoboard, Consequence of Sound, Brooklyn Vegan, XLR8R, Exclaim! and many more.
To support “Linked,” the artist embarked on Bonobo Presents OUTLIER in select cities across the globe, bringing with him some of the world’s most celebrated DJs to play out alongside him including TOKiMONSTA, DJ Harvey, Derrick Carter and Mall Grab among others, in individually picked and unique urban environments such as Denver’s Wings Over The Rockies Air & Space Museum, Chicago’s Lakefront Green at Theater On The Lake and New York’s Brooklyn Mirage. “Linked” is the second single release on Ninja Tune from Bonobo following Migration, a record which cemented his place in the very highest echelons of electronic music. By turns lush, beautiful, melancholy, joyful, packed with both emotion and technical skill, this is perhaps his most ambitious attempt yet to capture the very textures of human existence in his work, as Green says of the broad dynamics on the album, “Life has highs, lows, loud and quiet moments, beautiful ones and ugly ones. Music is a reflection of life.” The GRAMMY-nominated album featured collaborations with Nick Murphy (Chet Faker), Nicole Miglis from Hundred Waters, Innov Gnawa and the album title track features piano by Jon Hopkins. It hit #1 on iTunes Electronic Album charts in over 50 territories, #5 on the main iTunes Album Charts in over 30+ countries and has had 130M+ streams. The album was widely considered by the press to be Green’s most accomplished album to date and went onto feature in a variety of ‘Album of the Year’ lists for publications including Mixmag and The Independent.
