‘Keep It Movin’ (ft. D Smoke) has been recorded under exceptional circumstances, from both sides of the Atlantic during the quarantine. As a result, the track is not only a feel-good song but also a defiant anthem. D Smoke’s smooth vocals and trendy syncopated rhythms lead the track while Wax Tailor imparts his signature electro-funk accents into the mix. The underlying positivity of the track radiates an infectious pulse that captivates the listener and lifts their mood, no matter the circumstances.

Wax Tailor reveals a little more about the creation of ‘Keep In Movin’ (ft. D Smoke). “I composed this track months ago, I immediately thought that it would be great to work with someone who could inject some great funky energy but still a lyricist. Someone somewhere between Kendrick & Anderson Paak. When I discovered D Smoke on Netflix I contacted him directly. I usually avoid that kind of fake show but he really used it to shine “outside the matrix.” I knew he was the one I needed to bring the track to the next level and I’m happy we’ve made it. It’s the only positive thing about the quarantine, it gave us time. I really had a great collab with Smoke, he’s brilliant, intelligent, and we both got the independent DNA.”

“‘Walk the Line’, a song about music’s impulsive power, swells with violin stabs and lugubrious trumpets.” — Pitchfork

”Celebrating hip-hop in a way that doesn’t just work on its own, but reminds you of a time when innovation — not just commercial success — was the result of an artist’s labors.” — MEDIUM

”There is a real sense of filmic pacing on the album, leading up to the final denouement and each single track plays its role superbly.” — Pop Matters

”Le Saout has a je ne sais quoi for sonics.” XLR8R
